Announcement – press release

Esports industry veterans joins BME to build a creative esports collective

Stockholm, Sweden. Black Molly Entertainment is proud to announce the recruitment of two esports industry veterans, Tomas Lyckedal and Nicklas Andersson - both ex-part owners and ex-managers of DreamHack. BME has also signed an agreement with Nicklas & Tomas that they will acquire 50% of the BME shares 3rd of January 2022.

Nicklas and Tomas will join as part-owners of BME with the vision to form a new creative esports collective and build out the gaming & esports offering in the Nordics and throughout Europe.

Founded in 2013, BME has become the Nordic go-to-agency for esports tournament production, creative storytelling and live production. With an office and studios in Stockholm, BME consists of 10 full-time employees, working with key clients such as ESL, Fragbite, GLL, ASUS and Paradox Interactive.

The addition of Nicklas and Tomas to BME adds extensive experience and know-how to the BME team and their ability to develop new and innovative formats, manage larger client projects and scale their business to the next level.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Nicklas Andersson and Tomas Lyckedal to the company. BME is already a profitable growth story with a fantastic team, delivering everything from branded content to large-scale esports projects. However, with this new management team we’re ready to take our company to the next level.” said Niklas Kronquist, CEO of BME.

“We’ve been following the BME team and their contribution to the industry for quite some time, and we’ve always been very impressed by their ability to constantly deliver premium productions and satisfy their customers' needs. At the same time we saw a lot of potential in their business to grow, and to continue to fill that gap between brands and gaming communities. We were lucky enough to be part of a great journey of success at DreamHack, and we can’t wait to bring that experience into our new home at BME.” said Nicklas Andersson

In September BME launched the sister company FRAME - a new full-service esports marketing agency where Tomas & Nicklas already have positions as partners & board members, and where BME is a large shareholder.

“As part of our greater vision for BME - we believe there’s a real opportunity to create a group of companies that can work together to develop local, national and regional esports. We believe that creating compelling content and storytelling will be at the centre of everything.” said Tomas Lyckedal.

Tomas and Nicklas joined the company 1st of October as full-time employees.
